Defining Earned Value Management with the NDIA
Join us on Thursday, October 23rd for our next RMS
monthly meeting. This month we will have a special presentation Pam Cleavenger of Ball Aerospace on how the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is helping to define and refine the criteria used for Earned Value and Earned Value Management Systems. Dating back more than 35 years the NDIA
Integrated Program Management Division has provided companies the
opportunity to work closely with the federal government to set policy
and provide guidance to its members. The knowledge gained from this
presentation will leave you with the latest trends in Earned Value
Management and the information necessary to participate in refining the
future of Earned Value Requirements.
Topics will include:
Pam has been with Ball Aerospace for 23 years in the Project Controls Organization. She is currently the EVM Manager responsible for EVM policy, implementation and compliance. In this position she is accountable for IBRs, JSRs, Internal EVM Audits, Program Start-Up and Training. She earned her AACE EVP Certification in 2013 and continues to support the organization in the role as a grader of potential EVP candidate papers. She is an active member of the NDIA, Integrated Program Management Division who's charter is to serve as a thought leader and source of best practices for program performance measurement. This division jointly works with PARCA (DoD EVM Policy) and DoD oversight agencies (DCMA) to achieve approved EVM systems, consistent practices and no surprises to industry. She is also an active member of the Joint Space Science Committee (JSCC) who is currently engaging with government and industry partners on the cost of EVM and actively pursuing cost reduction measures to better align with affordability.
