February Meeting Topic: School Bonds - Capital Improvement Program Management Strategies
Join the Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering on Thursday, February 23rd, for our next RMS monthly meeting. This will be a joint meeting with our colleagues of the Colorado chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). This meeting will be held at Landry's Seafood, located at 7209 S Clinton St, Englewood, CO 80112.
We will have a special presentation from Mark Crisman, Program Manager for Jacobs Engineering Group. Crisman's presentation will provide an overview of Littleton Public Schools 2013 Bond Program. Understanding the scope, budget and schedule constraints with strategies to overcome the varying challenges as they apply to school programs, community involvement and market conditions. Strategies include a scope to budget review to verify the available funds appropriated against the scope promised, developing the master program schedule that works with the Districts programming and is attractive to the designers and contractors, selecting the appropriate project delivery strategy to achieve the most cost efficient and quality project result, and a cost control system for reporting and transparency.
Mr. Crisman has more than 40 years of experience in the industry, and has a diverse background of experience that spans the United States including Program and Construction Management for the past 19 years with Jacobs. His diverse background includes both hands on construction and management of cogeneration facility, military, hospital, aviation, and semiconductor fab facility, various industrial and commercial facilities, detention center, prisons and educational facilities. Mr. Crisman managed the Hurricane Katrina Recovery School District and OPSB program in New Orleans, LA prior to managing the Littleton Public Schools 2013 Bond Program for the past 3 years.
