March 2019 (Spring) President's Message
Dear AACE Rocky Mountain Section Members and Friends,

As our 2018-2019 year quickly comes to a close, I would like to thank you all for you continued participation in our local AACEi Rocky Mountain Section! Thus far, we have had a great year in providing new, interesting speakers at our monthly meetings also for further developing our AACEi brand within our local market.

As we finish out this year’s session, please keep an eye out for the following upcoming meetings:

  • April - Jim Zack with be presenting on ‘Suspend Your Work “…Remain on Standy” – 3 key Words’ and the event will be held North of Denver at CB Potts in Broomfield. This will be a great opportunity to hear Jim speak on his newest topic that was presented for the first time at this year’s Western Winter Workshop

  • May - This month will conclude our 2018-2019 session and send us into Summer Break with a membership Happy Hour and networking event. While it will not provide a technical presentation, this is a great time to network with other members and stay up-to-date on changes across the industry.

Following our May meeting we start our typical ‘Summer Break’. During this time, we switch to a web-based presence and will be offering AACEi webinars on varying topics throughout the summer until we reconvene in person in September. This allows members to stay sharp their technical abilities as well as obtain the necessary CEUs for those with certifications.

Now, for some Statistics…because, who doesn’t like numbers??

Total Members Certified Members
AACEi Region 5 Southwest 625 211
Rocky Mountain Section 124 54

These figures show a strong membership presence and highlights the number of members taking advantage of the certifications offered. Within our Rocky Mountain Section, nearly 50% of our registered members are certified! A special congratulations to those who were certified this past year and best of luck to those who are going for certifications this year.

Due to the fact that our Section does continue to grow, and that we are an “all-volunteer” organization, I would personally like to ask all of those who find benefit in the opportunities that AACEi RMS provides to consider how they may be able to give back and support our local Section.

It is time to begin thinking about fulfilling 3 of our 4 Officer positions that will be available for the upcoming 2019-2020 session. Please contact me if you are interested in hearing more about the opportunities or are willing to serve one of the following positions for the Rocky Mountain Section:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Treasurer
  • In addition to the Officer roles, we have 3 Director positions available as well.

Lastly, we will be issuing our much-anticipated membership survey in the next month. We are focused on making this a section that is focused on the members and in doing so, we want to learn more about how the local section can better serve its membership. When this survey is distributed, please take time to complete, providing your candid and honest feedback, as we will use this as a tool to outline the 2019-2020 session and beyond.

Thank you again for your continued support and involvement of AACEi Rocky Mountain Section. The members are what define the organization and it is YOU that’s puts us in the top tier for AACE Region 5 Southwest!

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any questions or comments.
